Radon Solutions LLC is a veteran-owned and operated company with a passion for making our neighbors in the Middle Tennessee area safe and healthy in their homes. It was started by a veteran of the U.S. Army, who served his time with the Ranger Regiment. He deployed 5 times in support of both Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Since being home, he has shifted his priorities to fighting on a new battlefield with a new enemy: radon gas in the homes of you, your friends, and your family. He has completed his NRPP Radon Certification, along with an Electrical Certification, and is qualified to provide the electrical power needed for any part of a radon system. What is Radon Gas?
The CDC states:
- Radon is an odorless and invisible radioactive gas naturally released from rocks, soil, and water.
- Radon can get trapped inside homes and buildings, and build up in the air.
- Over time, breathing in high levels of radon can cause lung cancer.
- Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer deaths in the United States after cigarette smoke. The EPA and the Surgeon General's office estimate radon is responsible for more than 21,000 lung cancer deaths each year in the United States.
- Radon can build up in the air in any home or building whether it has a basement, is sealed or drafty, or is new or old. There is no known safe level of radon. You should always aim to have the lowest level. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends fixing your home if radon levels are 4 picoCuries per liter of air (pCi/L) or higher.
